Don't be angry with me, but you are not quite right in this case:

ordinary, typical or usual:
The documentary offers an insight into the everyday lives of millions of ordinary Russian citizens.
Death was an everyday occurrence during the Civil War.
I agree about the tense, I was not attentive while using it, because it doesn't have a meaning of annoyance, irritation or sarcasm.
We can use the Present Continuous Tense:
To express a frequent repetition of an activity which has a distinct meaning of annoyance, irritation, sarcasm. In this case the verbs are usually combined with such adverbs as: always, constantly, continually, for ever:
He is always borrowing money from his friends, but never gives it back.
